How does a church know when the blessings of the Lord are with that church? She knows because his presence is there to set the captives free and to heal the sick and fill the hungry soul with the precious Holy Ghost.

In this day the church as a whole seems more concerned with temporal things and less concerned with lost souls than ever before. The great falling away spoken of in the bible is speaking of more than some one backslidding.  It really means a falling back or moving away from a former belief in something or some one. In this case that some one is the Lord Jesus Christ.

How sad when the church has to be brought back to faith in the one she is supposed to love and trust the one that called her in the beginning. The bible tell us in Revelation 2:4 that the church in Ephesus had lost her first love, the love for Jesus. He bids her  return to him.  Likewise the Holy Ghost pleads with the modern church today to repent and return to her first love.  When she does, just as Israel in the wilderness, God will help her and return the blessings lost because of sin and rebellion.

The blessings of the Lord are great and plentiful. His blessing are power and love and joy with peace in the Holy Ghost. His blessings are intended for us and will be ours if we will give our hearts to him and place all our faith in his shed blood.

Come back to your first love and Jesus will clothe you in his righteousness and bestow on you all the rights and privileges that belong to the child of God.  God loves you is not merely a statement made to invite one to receive christ . God loves you is a fact and with that love comes many blessings. Praise him for all his wonderful ways!
